Cajun Dream

Verse 1

She was a Cajun Queen down in New Orleans
Loved the way she danced around the tables
I remember the nights, she moved in shadows and lights
I try to free my mind, but, I'm not able

Verse 2

She was a vision in time, defied all reason and rhyme
And the music set her body free
Into her web I fell, tangled hypnotic spell
Was she for real or just my fantasy

Chorus

Can't stop this Cajun Dream, desires so extreme
Never knew what loving her would mean
I could not see the cost, my soul completely lost
There's no awaking from this Cajun Dream (Inst)

Bridge

Now it's been fifteen years, many miles and tears
Lonely nights, my hands around the bottle
To end this memory of what will never be
It's time to take my foot back off the throttle

Verse 3

I still see her there, flowing long black hair
And her eyes that would not set me free
I gladly paid the price, lost not once, but, twice
I'd follow her into eternity

Chorus

Can't stop this Cajun Dream, desires so extreme
Never knew what loving her would mean
I could not see the cost, my soul completely lost
There's no awaking from this Cajun Dream

Outro

She fills my every dream, there's no escape it seems
I found what loving her would mean
I gladly paid the price, lost her not once, but, twice.....
Is there no waking..... from this Cajun Dream.....
